The present project deals with coaching in the working life and focuses on the recognition and violation of employees by a coaching management style. The project is based on interviews with a Danish sales company. In the establishment of the project, we applied Axel Honnths recognition theory and Ole Fogh Kirkebys theory of intimate technology. The analysis focuses on how the qualitative interviews can contribute to an understanding and awareness of the recognition and violation of employees following coaching in more intimate relations with the leader. Finally, we will discuss different key points from the analysis, which are either contradictory or could be nuanced further including employees as experts, traditional and coaching management, trust, style of management and the coaching ideal versus the recognition ideal.
