This paper concerns the Danish daily newspaper BT and investigates its take on science-journalism. Our main objective is to see how journalistic ideals are interpreted in the daily work of the science-journalists at the paper. The empirical data consists of interviews with two journalists and an editor from BT, an in-depth text-analysis of three articles from BT with popular scientific topics and four popular science articles written for BT by the students, as a means of reflecting on the practices there. The paper concludes that the science-journalists of BT navigate their practice based on personal ideals and the ideals of their news room more that theoretical democratic ideals of being critical and enlighting.
