Studenteropgave: Semesterprojekt

This project identifies the governmental rationalities and governmental technologies, which through history have been dominating in relation to voluntary social work. Hereafter these will be placed in relation to the Visitor Service and how these are controlled in the control of them selves. Next we’ll look at the goals the Government has had with the regulation and what kind of governmental tech-niques has been used to reach these goals. To fully understand this subject we’ve been inspired by the genealogic analyses, which has made it possible to see power in a new perspective; power is not something you possess, but something that exist in all social relations. The above-mentioned will be used to investigate how the Visitor Service reflects upon themselves. In conclusion we determine that the voluntary work is not as unique as you would expect, and this is probably because the Visi-tor Service and the Government are informed by the same governmental rationality.
