Studenteropgave: Semesterprojekt

This project is about the Danish asylum system and how being an asylum over time can have psychological consequences. To illustrate our focus we have conducted interviews with two people living in the Danish asylum system and an interview with a staff member of the asylum centre. Through the interviews we analyse the living conditions of Death, Isolation, Freedom and Meaninglessness. These living conditions form the basis of anxiety and through our analysis we show how asylums experience anxiety. In the discussion we present the different aspects from the analysis and how the psychological consequences of asylums affect their condition through the uncertain time at the asylum. Through the living conditions we also discovered that social relationships, environmental surroundings, and political boundaries are due to the fact that asylums in Denmark meet anxiety.
