Studenteropgave: Semesterprojekt

Resumé This project seeks to analyze if there is a plausible relation between religion with a corporate aspect, spirituality, value based management and if it’s possible to see this in the case Topdanmark. Topdanmark is a Danish enterprise with an explicit set of values, which is the core of their management foundation. Therefore Topdanmark is chosen to be the basis of the case study. To substantiate the analysis, the project contains a collection of theory based on the historical development of Human Resource Management, leadership and religion in management strategies. The analysis is based upon the theory of pragmatic argumentation analysis – more specific the Toulmin Model of Argumentation, which is supported by an overview of scientific and philosophical background of argumentation theory. The project concludes that there are no specific traces of religion or spirituality in the value based management in Topdanmark, but the religiosity there might be found, lies within the values.
