Studenteropgave: Basisprojekt

This assignment analyses the issues surrounding the phrase “living the good life”, what we as humans need to get a “good life”, and the consequences that occur, when we do not get the respect and acknowledgement we require. The purpose of the project is to investigate what happens, when people from the subclass don’t receive the respect and acknowledgement they need, and how the rest of society can reduce this loss of respect and acknowledgement .The assignment explains the concept of acknowledgement, and how all humans need acknowledgement, based on theorist Axel Honneth. There is furthermore opted three moral ethics to give new perspectives on Axel Honneths acknowledgement theory. The assignment also contains a discourse analysis and an analysis of a feature article using the phenomenological method.
The feature article describes how the subclass is in desperate need of respect and acknowledgement, and how they now are forgotten and reduced to entertainment for the rest of society. Using the discourse analysis and analysis through phenomenological method, the project is able to learn about the subclasses strong need of respect and acknowledgement. Finally, we will assess and establish the problems, which were concluded in the analysis, and make propositions on how society can improve their behavior towards the subclass. Based on the analysis, assessment and conclusion, this study will give a new perspective on how to provide the subclass the respect and acknowledgement in society that they need.
