Abstract

In this paper, we engage with the policy contradictions in refugee reception systems in Denmark and Sweden by using home and homing practices as a
prism through which to pose critical questions about migration management and migrant/refugee integration. We draw on the preliminary findings from the research project, Making it home: An aesthetic methodological contribution to the study of migrant home-making and politics of integration, to address how notions of home and homing are configured in immigration and integration policies in Sweden and Denmark between 2010 and 2019.
