    Resumé

    Med baggrund i paradigmeskiftet vedr. dioxindannelsen i affaldsforbrændingsanlæg peges på eksperimentelle undersøgelsesreaultater, der lader formode, at  samme mekanisme af de-novo-dannelse også gælder skorstene på brændeovne. Dette kan forklare de af DMU registrerede dioxinbidrag til luftforurening i lokalområder som Gundsømagle. Stockholmkonventionens anbefalede dioxinreduktion må derfor bringes til anvendelse i Danmark, men dette er i implementaringsplanen fra 2006 udsat p.g.a. skønnede klimavenlige karakteristika ved erstatning af fossile brændsler gennem træfyring. Med baggrund i Bent Sørensens klassiker 'Renewable Energy' problematiseres antagelsen om CO2-neutralitet for planter med lange omdriftstider såsom træer. Registrerede CO2-emissioner karakteriseres samt emissioner af partikler og PAH. Den positive behandling af brændeovns-teknologien i den danske strategi for bæredygtig udvikling (udkast 2007) problematiseres og der nævnes ansatser til forbedret regulering.
