Abstract
Trust is a multi-dimensional concept. This paper suggests that a fruitful framework for bringing order to this multi-dimensionality of the trust concept is the order of worth framework developed by Luc Boltanski and Laurent Thévenot (Boltanski and Thévenot, 2006). The paper explores how trust is conceptualized differently in the seven orders of worth highlighted by Boltanski and Thévenot. Last I discuss how this perspective of competing forms of trust may contribute to trust research in organizations.
