Heidi Bojsen is an associate professor at the Department of Cultural and Identity at Roskilde University, Denmark. She teaches French and Francophone cultural and postcolonial history and cultural theory and is currently leader of a new series of courses that seeks to enhance students ability to work with texts in French and German in a variety of programs at the Faculty of Social Sciences as well as the Faculty of Human sciences – an initiative inspired by Glissant’s philosophy.
She is the author of numerous articles on Glissant and other Francophone authors notably from Martinique and Francophone West Africa and of a monography from 2011 in which chosen parts of Glissant’s notions are used to facilitate a comparative reading of two other authors.
