Abstract

The workshop is meant as a shared space for exploration and reflection, with focus on the expectations, impressions, feelings, ideas and questions that have emerged during the conference.

The main modalities are sculpting (three-dimensional collage) and creative writing. The workshop provides an opportunity to make collages with a variety of materials, such as: photos, newspapers, fabric, thread, yarn, bags, tape, balloons, tin foil, etc.

Our aim is to build a shared space for participants to explore and exchange reflections about their own and others’ writing and collages. The workshop allows time for shared as well as individual creative work processes. Shared work is an invitation for the participants to make interconnected collage constructions as installations in the workshop space. Reflection is framed by using aesthetic feedback to the collages. The facilitators guide this process.

The approach to using collage and giving aesthetic feedback for reflection is rooted in the facilitators’ practice in an arts-based peer inspiration/supervision group in Copenhagen.
