N2 - This article analyzes the militarization of resilience-thinking within the context of international interventions in "fragile" or "failed" states. In analyzing the implementation of resilience-driven conunterinsurgency approaches in Haiti and Somalia, we demonstrate that the incorporation of resilience-thinking in bottom-up security efforts promoted by external actors interveining in "fragile states" produces a militarization of social relations.
