Abstract
Nord-VET is a comparative Nordic research project covering Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark in 2013-16. The purpose of the project is to generate new knowledge on the strengths and weaknesses of the different models of vocational education and training (VET) at upper secondary level in the four Nordic countries. It is a specific interest of the project to shed light on the different Nordic ways of handling the key dilemma of how VET can provide double access to the labour market and to higher education at the same time. This report is one of four country reports under the theme 'Recent reforms and innovations in VET'. It discusses innovations in the Danish education system to improve access to higher education, raise the esteem of VET, provide better linkages with the labour market, and improve social inclusion in VET.
