Abstract
Landscapes are carriers of history, traces of forgotten pasts. Often, we are eager to live in the present to enjoy the here and now of landscapes while forgetting what they carry with them - for instance traces of colonial pasts and land extractivism. Through two examples from students work in the Performative Urbanism Lab, the article illustrates how walking and performing landscapes are embodied practices that can open up for reflections on pasts and possible regenerative urban futures. Drawing from Felix Guattari's Three Ecologies, the article asks how we through the interrelated environmental, social and mental ecologies can redirect planning and urbanism into more sustainable and regenerative futures.
