Omuta is a typical rapidly aging city with the third biggest aging ratio in Japan (2018). 15 years ago, local citizens expressed their worries of people with dementia who lost their way and failed to be found for a long time. Helping people with dementia who wanders became one of the most urgent problems together with other worries such as an increase in isolated deaths among the cityʼs elderly. Omuta conducted diverse experimental initiatives, together with people with dementia, local care institutions, industries, municipality, and citizens, which made substantial achievements
