Abstract
Nordvest is a contested district in Copenhagen: undefined and hyped; authentically untamed yet regenerating; decaying yet gentrifying; and diverse in both stigmatized and celebrated ways.
I had planned to give a guided tour of Nordvest to a group of students on March 23, focusing on (im)mobility in contested urban space. The tour had to be cancelled due to restrictions on mobility imposed because of COVID19. This audiowalk gives the opportunity to (re-)experience (im)mobility in Nordvest in times of emergency. The audiowalk focuses on histories of urban change and framings of diversity in Nordvest. The walk starts on Skodagrunden by Nørrebro station, facing the fitness club SATS on Frederikssundsvej, with the train station to your left, and takes 1 hour and 15 minutes. We end by the municipal library (BIBLIOTEKET) on Rentemestervej.
