Abstract
Recently, young comedians with a migration background attracted attention in social media by addressing migration-specific stereotyping in a humorous and self-ironic way. This article examines the relevance of this ethnic-comedy for deprivileged young people in their everyday lives, using the example of German-speaking Switzerland. It shows that - parallel to the aspect of entertainment - the question of belonging and participation of young people is always negotiated.
