Abstract

Compounds from the leaves of Ilex Kaushue have been isolated: uvaol, 3ß,stigmast-5-en-yl-ß-D-glucopyranoside and three kudinosides C, D and E. Biological testing both for antimicrobial and cytotoxic activity of crude fractions showed activity possibly supporting the common belief that tea of these leaves is potentially healthy.
