Imagining Dublin: Postcolonial legacies and postmodern planning

    Publikation: KonferencebidragPaperForskningpeer review

    Abstract

The capital of the former "Celtic Tiger", Dublin is read in the light of literary criticism and postcolonial theory, and it is argued that both colonial, nationalistic and modern urban ideologies has spatialized itself in the built environment. This paper is based on the assumption that urban planning can be seen as a form of history writing.
