Abstract
Introduction
Research into recovery is still sparse, and there is limited knowledge of how the concept is implemented in treatment psychiatry, where the target group is users with the most serious disorders, such as, for example, schizophrenia and drug use. The research has been particularly focused on developing and testing methods as efforts for inclusion and recovery without defining the concepts theoretically or empirically.
Aim
How does health professionals experience a recovery-oriented care is unfold in a mental health centre for users with severe mental difficulties and drug use, and how does the user experience their recovery process is promoted in the special places?
Methods
The study is designed as a combine’s element of a mixes quantitative and qualitative research approach. In the quantitative part we conduct validated questionnaires from the Recovery Knowledge Inventory (RKI) and the Inspire measure of staff support for personal recovery. These will be used to examine the health professionals' and users' knowledge and experiences with a recovery-oriented practice. Focus group interviews will be carried out and will be analysed with qualitative content analysis and the software NVivo.
Result
The result is expected to view how a recovery-oriented care are unfold in the special places ward, and whether the users have achieved personal recovery.
