    Resumé

    I artiklen diskuterer jeg hypotesen af borgere i velordnede republikker vil sætte deres egne rationelle interesser frem for deres lederes ambitioner og antager at dette er omdrejningspunktet for hele projektet for en fredsfederation som kan give nogen grad af gennemtvingelighed til de ellers usanktionerede internationale aftalebaserede forpligtelser. Hvis det er korrekt så kræver præmisserne for hypotesen kritisk analyse for deres tilsyneladende enkelhed er vildledende.
