Abstract

DANISH MARXISM: PAST, PRESENT, FUTURE brings together reflections on the history, development, and contemporary tendencies of Marxist thought and critical scholarship in Denmark. It also offers accounts of the work of the Danish Society for Marxist Studies and the intellectual community around it. Finally, it documents the highly original research that has been presented at the society's annual conferences over the past ten years (2016-2025).

THE DANISH SOCIETY FOR MARXIST STUDIES [Selskab for Marxistiske Studier (SMS)] is an independent academic society that works to promote interest in and research on Marxism. We understand "Marxism" in the broadest possible sense of the term, as the critical traditions that originate in Marx's thought, in their full historical and theoretical breadth and depth. SMS is not committed to any single theoretical or political position.
