Resumé

Forfatteren ønsker at bidrage til en etik for strategisk massekommuniktion ved at foreslå en generel norm for al strategisk kommunikation. Forfatteren ønsker at gøre rede for normens fokuspunkt, dens etiske basis, en præcis definition af normen og at vise hvordan den fungerer. Denne norm fokuserer udelukkende på på de overtalende midler som en afsender bruger for at få sit budskab igennem til modtager. Spørgsmålet er om disse midler vildleder modtageren. For at kunne svare på dette spørgsmål foreslås normen "fairness" som defineres ud fra modtagerens synspunkt. Det vises hvordan fairness tillader os at identificere vildledende overtalelsmidler og at vurdere dem på et fælles etisk grundlag
