This interdisciplinary PhD project studies the geographical and demographic patterns of infectious disease morbidity and mortality in rural nineteenth and early twentieth century Denmark.
Combining historical, epidemiological and demographic methods, this project examines local and regional disease patterns, as well as the role of age, socioeconomic status, mobility, population density and the environment. The study years of this PhD project is 1831 ending in 1930.
