Ph.D. fellow at Roskilde University, Denmark. Research project: The social consstruction of 'the Muslim woman' in Danish online Jihadi-Salafism. Supervisors: Professor Garbi Schmidt, Roskilde University, co-supervisor Manni Crone, Danish Institute for International Studies, Denmark.

Curriculum

Sara Jul Jacobsen is a Ph.D. fellow at Roskilde University. In 2002 she completed her Master Degree in Study of Religion at the University of Aarhus. The same year she started working at VIVE - The Danish Centre for Social Sceince Research researching Muslims and Islam in Denmark as well as racism, discrimination and anti-tolerance in both Danish and international context.

Since then she has been actively participating in international and national conferences on islam, gender, jihad and terrorism, as a key speaker and as a panelist. Sara focuses her research interests on women, religious violence, jihad, online jihadism, and online research methods.
