Akademisk Biografi: Lisa-Ann Richey er professor i Internationale Udviklingsstudier på Institut for Samfund og Globalisering, Roskilde Universitet, Danmark. Dr. Richey er vice-præsident for Global South Caucus ved International Studies Association (ISA), og hun er leder af Forskerskolen for Samfund og Globalisering. Hun er forfatter til Brand Aid: Shopping Well to Save the World med Stefano Ponte (Minneapolis og London: Univ of Minnesota Pub.2011.) Population Politics and Development: From the Policies to the Clinics (New York og London: Palgrave MacMillan, 2008) og redaktør til Celebrity Humanitarianism and North-South Relations: Politics, Place and Power (Routledge, 2015); medredaktør med Stefano Ponte af et særnummer af Third World Quarterly om nye aktører og alliancer i udvikling 35 (1), 2014. Hun afsluttede sin post.doc på Department of Population and International Health ved Harvard Universitet og sin Ph.D. ved Institut for Statskundskab på University of North Carolina i Chapel Hill i USA. Dr. Richeys forskning i Tanzania, Uganda og Sydafrika er blevet støttet af Det Danske Samfundsvidenskabelige Forskningsråd, Det Frie Forskningsråd, Mellon Fonden, og Fulbright Fonden. Academic Bio: Lisa-Ann Richey is Professor of International Development Studies in the Department of Society and Globalisation, Roskilde University, Denmark. Dr. Richey is Vice-President of the Global South Caucus of the International Studies Association (ISA), and she is also the Director of the Doctoral School of Society and Globalisation. She is the author of Brand Aid: Shopping Well to Save the World with Stefano Ponte (Minneapolis and London: Univ. of Minnesota Pub.2011), Population Politics and Development: From the Policies to the Clinics (New York and London: Palgrave MacMillan, 2008), editor of Celebrity Humanitarianism and North-South Relations: Politics, Place and Power (Routledge, 2015); and the co-editor with Stefano Ponte of a special issue of Third World Quarterly on New Actors and Alliances in Development 35(1), 2014. She completed post-doctoral training in the Department of Population and International Health at Harvard University and a Ph.D. in the Department Political Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the U.S. Dr. Richey’s research in Tanzania, Uganda and South Africa has been supported by the Danish Social Science Research Council, the Development Research Council, the Mellon Foundation, and the Fulbright Foundation. She is the organizer of the Research Network on Celebrity and North-South Relations. In 2014, Dr. Richey was a Visiting Professor at the University of Trento, Italy.
