Forskning

Nikoline G. Oturai is an interdisciplinary environmental scientist working with plastic pollution at Roskilde University. In her Ph.D. she primarily studied plastic policy, environmental behaviors, citizen science, and environmental monitoring. Currently, she is employed as a postdoc collaborating with several stakeholders in the project Circlehealth focusing on the Danish healthcare system to implement circular economy principles (based on the Waste hierarchy, and with emphasis on reduction) for textiles and single-use plastic products at hospitals. She is a member of the Scientist Coalition for an Effective Plastics Treaty following the current negotiations under the UN closely. Ultimately, as a member of Roskilde Environmental Plastic Society (REPS), she represents a versatile research group conducting plastic oriented research within multiple scientific disciplines.

I 2015 blev FN-landene enige om 17 Verdensmål til at standse fattigdom, beskytte planeten og sikre velstand for alle. Denne persons arbejde bidrager til følgende verdensmål:
