Forskning

My research focuses on the intersection between design, technology, and materiality, exploring how designers and developers can work with materiality - both technical and physical - to create unique bodily experiences. Methodologically the work is research through design. I draw inspiration from speculative and critical design, utilizing design and technology as tools for social research. Rather than focusing on developing new products, I take an exploratory and playful approach to technology to encourage people to reflect on their relationship with it.

Thus, my research delves into digital material exploration from speculative, critical, and exploratory perspectives within Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, and Art & Technology. My PhD thesis, 'Designing Bodily Interactions,' is a practice-based study examining designers' bodily interaction with materials from a phenomenological perspective.
