I am employed as a postdoc at IKH, where I am part of the research project Feminist Activism in Transition (FAT). The focus of my postdoc project is Danish fat activism on social media and beyond. My project centers around issues such as feminist community building and identities, affect and care, and the body as a site of struggle.
I am an anthropologist by training, and I have PhD in Anthropology from the University of Copenhagen. My PhD research focused on gender, family life and parenthood among Danish families going through military deployment.
Overall research interests
Theoretically, I am inspired by feminist theories of the body, gender, and the position of the researcher in processes of knowledge production. In my academic work, I also draw on anthropological perspectives concerning everyday life, family life and parenthood. Another theoretical frame of reference and interest of mine is anthropological approaches to morality and ethics and the the relationship between ideal and practice.
Methodologically, I have extensive experience with doing ethnographic fieldwork in a Danish context, including participant observation, formal and informal interviews, as well as focus group interviews. As part of my current research project, I am also exploring online ethnography and feminist methods of knowledge sharing and production.
