Forskning

I am an interdisciplinary social researcher with background in International Development and Global Studies, and previous work experience in EU institutions, NGOs, and private sector. 

I have researched racial and social inequalities in gentrifying urban scenarios using feminist methods, in collaboration with the research institute Barcelona Lab for Urban Environmental Justice and Sustainability (BCNUEJ).

More recently, I have been focusing on alternatives to the dominant socio-economic and political system, green transition, degrowth and post-development. As part of my PhD, I am involved in a research project on Alternative Green Futures in which I analyze alternative green communities in India, contributing knowledge to cross-case comparisons in collaboration with scholars and activists from Denmark, South Africa, and India. In particular, I investigate the alternative organizing and transformational practices of farmer communities in the South of India. More information on the project can be found here.

Overall, I am strongly interested in grassroot community organisation, direct democracy, imaginaries of alternative post-capitalist futures and societies, and prefigurative practices such as life in eco-villages and intentional communities. I am also keen on discussing feminist, decolonial, and emancipatory research methods as well as the critique of the contemporary neoliberal academia.

Undervisning

I have been involved in teaching within the courses "Sustainability, Development and Inequality" and "Radical Utopias" at the Master in Global and Development Studies. I have been supervising Master (GDS) and Bachelor (SIB) project groups as well as Bachelor theses and internship projects at the Master level.
