Forskning

My research is centered around microenvironmental and molecular studies of seagrasses utilizing advanced microsensor and solute imaging techniques. Previous research have focused on (i) how marine plants alter the biogeochemical processes and chemical conditions in their rhizosphere to detoxify the surrounding sediment and mobilize essential nutrients, and (ii) how epiphytes affect the leaf physicochemical microenvironment and the fitness of marine plants. A major goal is to unravel how the micro-landscape of marine plant leaves affects the plants health under environmental stress in the Anthropocene.
