    The Danish Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration is pleased to invite you to a two-day conference in Copenhagen on tackling extremism through de-radicalising and disengagement initiatives. The event is held under the auspices of the European Commission and organised together with the Institute for Strategic Dialogue (UK). The conference will illuminate efforts on de-radicalisation and disengagement from a number of different perspectives - including mentor schemes, de-radicalisation in prisons, working with family networks and the role of extremist narratives. International practitioners, offi cials, researchers and former extremists will present experiences and debate key issues in relation to de-radicalisation and disengagement. The focus will be on “what works” – both in practical as well as policy terms. Through expert facilitation, the conference is designed to maximise discussion, learning and exchange of good practices.
